About the Author

JAF Palafox (JAP) used to teach at the University of the Philippines handling courses in HR and Industrial Relations. He is now managing Bluebonnet Services– a business process outsourcing company for small, medium and large enterprises. JAP provides HR retainer services for companies that need advise from time to time on any aspect of HR management, sub/systems, SOPs, and contingent concerns.

JAP’s particular strengths are in HR training and development, and restructuring and reorganization. His most popular programs include “Termination and Effective Discipline for HR and Non-HR Managers/Supervisors”. This program had been delivered in almost all top companies in the Philippines. JAP also provides HR soft programs like teambuilding.

On the other hand, he has done restructuring/reorganization services for the Department of Agrarian Reform, and a host of Electric Cooperatives all over the country. Restructuring usually involves cutting off organizational fat to make it lean, so this particular service needs management political will to see it to full completion.
